Applications open for John Smith Trust Fellowship Programme, 2023/24 year
The John Smith Trust is accepting applications for its fellowship scheme 2023/24, aimed at exceptional young professionals from Turkmenistan.
Interested applicants can be working in public, private or non-profit sectors in the following areas:
- Climate and sustainability;
- Governance and justice ;
- Equality, diversity and inclusion.
Applicant’s work must contribute to building fairer, more sustainable, and inclusive societies.
The John Smith Trust Fellowship programmes give a chance to gain detailed insights into the values and ways of working of UK institutions. It facilitates open and honest discussion about the challenges our societies face, the solutions we’ve tried and what we’ve learned.
Requirements:
- Be aged 25-35
- Be a citizen in one of these countries:
- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan
- Be in permanent employment
- Speak and write fluent English
- Demonstrate your potential as a leader in your professional field
- Propose an ‘action plan’ addressing a challenge in policy or practice, which you plan to implement on your return home, and which will be informed by your experience in the UK
