Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students
Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS-2023) will be held in Person at International University for the Humanities and Development, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on April 23-28, 2023.
The competition is intended for university students who are interested in mathematics.
The official language of the Olympiad is Turkmen and English.
The Olympiad will be conducted in the form of individual and team competition.
– Individual competition will have two Categories: A and B. Category A is for students majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. Category B is for students of other majors, where they will be given 6 problems and four hours (240 minutes) to solve them.
– a group of at most 4 students can participate in the group competition regardless of their majors, where teams will be given 10 problems and two hours (120 minutes) to solve them.
Each of the participating universities can nominate several students who will take part in the Olympiad. There is not any particular restriction on the number of nominees. The final results will be officially announced at the closing ceremony of the Olympiad.
A student who completely solved any problem at the Olympiad but did not receive the prize will be awarded with Honorable Mentioned Diploma.

The procedure of organizing and holding the OMOUS:
– Students enrolled in undergraduate, professional and master’s programs of higher education in various areas and specialties of all higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries can participate in the Olympiad.
– Each participating student must be registered through the website https://iuhd.edu.tm
