Prep4Success Teacher Program 2026 year
The Prep4Success Teacher Program is a professional development initiative by American Councils for International Education, primarily for English Language teachers in Turkmenistan, aiming to enhance teaching practices through modern pedagogy, student-centered learning, and technology, often delivered in-person at American Corners, with online components, focusing on skills like data analysis, interactive activities, and TOEFL prep for students, helping teachers improve instruction and student outcomes for U.S. higher education.
The program will be delivered in person at American Corners offices in the regions of Dashoguz, Lebap, Mary, and Ashgabat, while educators residing in the Balkan region will be able participate online. In person sessions will take place on Sundays once a month. Engagement in online activities is also a key feature of the program, helping prepare attendees to make the most of the in-person sessions.
What Teachers Learn:
- Using data to assess student performance.
- Giving clear instructions.
- Implementing interactive and communicative classroom activities.
- Fostering a student-centered learning environment.
- Micro-teaching practice using lesson plan templates.
Eligibility:
- Citizen of Turkmenistan
- Teachers and paraprofessionals employed part-time or full-time at private educational centers and self-employed tutors
- Advanced level of English
- Able to commit to the six months program
