AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship 2025 in USA, Fully Funded

The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship (AU EGLS) promotes educational access and opportunity while enhancing international diversity. Bringing together the best of AU—academic excellence, leadership development, and global engagement—AU Emerging Global Leader Scholars achieve, inspire, and serve with vision. The AU EGLs are dedicated to positive civic and social change to help address issues faced by under-resourced, underserved communities in their home country.

Benefits:

• The AU EGL Scholarship covers all AU expenses.
• It provides full tuition fee coverage. Hence, making it easier for students to study in the USA.
• The Scholarship covers room and board (accommodation).
• The scholarship does not cover other expenses such as compulsory medical insurance, books, plane tickets, and miscellaneous expenses.
• The AU EGL scholarship is renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate study, based on continued satisfactory academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Preference will be given to international students who have overcome various obstacles and challenges, as well as those from diverse and under-represented socioeconomic and global backgrounds.
• Students must have a minimum of 3.8 GPA on the scale of 4.0 GPA (or in the top 10% of the graduating class) for grades 9-12.
• Applicants should have demonstrated commitment to leadership, volunteering, community service and advancing the needs of the people in their home country.
• Preference is also given to students enrolled in secondary or high school and graduating by June 2025.

Students with one of the following will be considered for the AU Scholarship 2025:

• 95+ TOEFL iBT (all sub scores must be 20 or more)
• Secondary scores of 24+ on paper TOEFL (taken after 31 May 2017)
• 7.0+ IELTS (all sub scores must be 6.0 or higher)
• 33 minimum SAT reading subscore
• 29 minimum ACT English
• 65 PTE minimum
• 125+ Duolingo (all sub scores must be 115 or higher)
• Students still enrolled in middle / high school and graduating by June 2021.

You are NOT eligible to apply if:

• You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, U.S. pending permanent resident, or dual citizen of the U.S. and another country.
• You are enrolled in or have already begun any post-secondary studies at another university in your home country or the United States.
• You graduated secondary school earlier than 2023.
