The Danish government offers a limited number of scholarships through the Danish Government Scholarship programme to highly qualified applicants in recognition of the important investment that overseas students make during their education.

As a master student you can choose one of two specializations: Advanced Robotics Technology and Drones and Autonomous Systems.

 Eligibility

  • You must submit your application for admission no later than February 1 – even if you have a Danish residence permit
  • Your application must include all necessary documentation at the time of submission (i.e. it must not be necessary for SDU to ask for further documentation)
  • If you have applied for more than one programme at SDU, you will only be considered for the scholarship if the Master’s programme in Robot Systems is your highest priority

Benefits:

-Full tuition fees.

-3000 DKK per month as a cost of living before taxes.

Entry requirements

To qualify for admission, you must have a relevant degree on a Bachelor’s level. You are qualified for admission if you hold one of the following degrees:

  • BSc in Robot Systems from SDU – gives you a legal claim for admission
  • BEng in Engineering (Robot Systems) from SDU provided that the you have passed the following as electives or supplementary courses:
    • Numerical Methods (RD-NUM4), 5 ECTS
    • One of the following courses:
      • Multivariate mathematics for roboticists (RD-MMR), 5 ECTS
      • Modelling and Simulation of Electrical and Electromechanical Dynamic Systems (E-MSDS ) – (Summer School), 5 ECTS
      • Deep Learning (DM568) – (Summer School) 5 ECTS

  • Application deposit fee receipt
  • Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian – must include grades and ECTS/units/credits for each course
  • Course descriptions for the courses on your transcripts
  • Self-assessment form which is available under entry requirements and admission
  • Proof of English language proficiency

Note: If, at the time of application, you await your Bachelor’s diploma, please note that Non-EU/EEA applicants without an EU/EEA Bachelor’s degree must submit their Bachelor’s diploma, or an official confirmation of graduation from the university, by:

  • May 15 for the September intake
  • December 1 for the February intake

Deadline:

  • January 1 – February 1 (for the September intake)
  • July 1 – September 1 (for the February intake)
