– Where do you study? What field did you choose for your studies? What inspired you to study in this field?
– Currently, I study at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek. I am the first year student of MA in Politics and Security Programme.
To be honest, I was inspired by the very fact that OSCE Academy is based in Central Asia with a specific focus in providing comprehensive teaching and training in such disciplines as politics and international relations.
– How did you find information about your university? Do you have a scholarship? If yes full or partial?
– I found out about this Academic institution thanks to Okajak website, where I read all valuable information about the programme and required documents for applying.
Yes. I have a full scholarship which covers tuition-free studies, all living expenses in Bishkek, medical insurance and round trip travel.
– When and how did you apply for university? What was the application process? What documents were required? How did you send your documents? Was there a requirement for any test results?
– To be honest, an application process was not so difficult. The whole process as well as required documents were described in details at the Okajak website. You have to follow instructions and that’s all)
Required documents are mostly the same and all you have to do is to collect them: motivation letter, scanned copies of your diplomas, 2 recommendation letters, your score of IELTS or TOEFL exam. You have to register and complete an online application form.
I also got familiar with the application process at the Okajak website. To apply for the OSCE Academy in Bishkek you have to undergo three stages. First stage is a so called “meeting requirements” – you have to collect all the required documents and apply via online application form. Second stage consists of two exams that were held online: exam on English grammar and exam on politics with a specific focus on international affairs in the Central Asian region. Third stage is an interview with the teaching staff of the Academy.
– Could you share some of your future academic and career aspirations, and how your time at university has prepared you for them?
– This question is not difficult for me to answer. I want to contribute to the development of the Central Asian region. I believe that knowledge and experience that I will hopefully gain studying at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek will help me in my future academic and professional endeavour.
– What were some of the challenges you faced during application process and/or during studies , and how did you overcome them?
– To be honest, I haven’t experienced any difficulties when I was applying for the OSCE Academy in Bishkek. Every step of the process is thoroughly described at the Okajak website. You have just to follow it step by step.
– – Lastly, do you have any tips or advice for prospective students who want to study at the same university?
– I want to address future applicants who are thinking of applying to the OSCE Academy – if you have any doubts or second thoughts, get rid of them as soon as possible. You would love this Academic Institution.
And my second advice is to apply for the Master’s Programme as soon as possible. Do not wait until the deadline and collect all necessary documents in advance.
